Stylish apartment to rent in centre of market town of Uzes
Tastefully and comfortably appointed, this is a space that invites relaxation - a cool retreat within the bustling center of this historic town.
Each Saturday and Wednesday the famous Uzès markets are held in the beautiful Place aux Herbes, overlooked from the apartment - close enough to sense the bustle, but nicely removed to provide quiet and sanctuary. The other advantage with this apartment is that it has its own parking space which is very handy especially during busy summer months when plenty of people visit Uzes. Place du Marche - this apartment in the heart of Uzes - provides the perfect base from which to enjoy the history, gastronomy, scenic beauty and activities of the Gard region. Uzes itself is a town rich in history and culture, sitting calmly with authority atop its hill overlooking the pretty Alzon River. Within 10 kms you will discover rustic villages, boutique wineries, a rich variety of local and international cuisine and produce, solitary walks and rides, quiet streams, majestic rivers and sweeping vistas. An hour will deliver you to the historic centres of Avignon, Nimes, Arles, Orange and Beaucaire-Tarascon, and the vast expanses of the Cevennes National Park and the Parc Natural de Camargue. A little further afield are the beaches of Montpellier, and a suite of justifiably famous and much-photographed towns such as Gordes, Rousillon, Saint Remy-de-Provence and Vaucluse.
Famous for its medieval heritage and mellow atmosphere, with narrow streets and elegant 16th and 17th century mansions, Uzes is a hidden gem in the south of France. Rent: May to Sept $1500 a week; other times $1250 a week. Deposit 50%; final 50% one month before the start of your stay. For enquiries, email us
