Paris one bedroom apartment near Moulin Rouge for rent


A high standing apartment in the heart of the ‘Roaring Twenties’ historic area of Paris, a step away from the world famous ‘Moulin Rouge’ and the famous ‘Place Pigalle’, 15 minutes walking distance from ‘Montmartre’ and the ‘Sacré-Cœur’ through the lively ‘Rue Lepic’ street and the Amelie Poulain’s café ‘Les Deux Moulins’ and also just 15 minutes away from the ‘Place of Opéra’ and ‘Galeries Lafayettes’.

The French owner, who lived in Sydney, invites you to stay in his architect-designed very comfy and quiet typically Parisian apartment which is very clean, newly renovated just 6 years ago and recently styled.


Located on the 4th floor of a representative of the period 1830’s building, the apartment has a nice front on the street and features a magnificent and rare ‘Versailles’ parquet floor. You will find all the usual comforts at your temporary home to discover the ‘City of lights’. The building has kept the exterior period features. The private courtyard is decorated with flowers and gives a clear view which allows in good light in the day. At night time the bedroom faces onto the quiet courtyard ensuring you a good night sleep.

The building is secured with coded door entry and intercom. It has only six floors (the apartment is on the 4th) with no lift and the stairs keep their original character through the renovation. The building atmosphere is very clean, family orientated and quiet. This 50 sqm apartment includes the following:

• A beautiful bedroom with a window, a wardrobe, a walk-in closet, a comfortable double bed with quilt, a multi-channels TV with an integrated DVD player. The lights are from the famous French brand ‘Madura’, the duvet covers are made by the brand ‘Jalla’.

• The bathroom adjacent to the bedroom has a large mirror, a big bath with an integrated shower, a 'towel warmer', as well for your convenience an AEG brand washing-machine/ dryer. And finally, very rare in Paris, a window with a real view which gives opened natural light. The toilets are separate to the bathroom. All bathroom towels are provided.

• A big living-room (32 sqm), with two double-glazed windows, divided between a dining-room and a lounge, it has two big mirrors above two old unused fireplaces. The kitchen is open to the eating area with bar stools to allow you to sit and eat at the bar. There is a warm coloured big sofa, its ‘Madura’ throw and cushions are made to quality. It has a 1900’s armchair as well as a small historic wrought iron cot which has some very nice ‘Madura’ cushions and a large and warm tartan rug. A small desk with an internet connected laptop (Wi-Fi available too) is provided for use, a CD player to listen to music through speakers is provided also as well as a large collection of CDs. A small library of books are provided including practical guides of Paris to accompany you during the Parisian discoveries.

• You will discover in the dining-room a 'Knoll' style, white and refined round-table with its four chairs, the little sideboard holds a pretty tableware set, real red and white wine glasses, cocktail glasses and champagne flutes for any romantic dinner. You will be seduced as well by an original and surprising light creation built with a pile of books, by a luminous decoration from ‘La case du cousin Paul’ a very new designer, by the floral touch from the interior descorator ‘Emilio Roba’that you will find as well in the bedroom and by the two stools in the front of the bar of the opened kitchen.

• The kitchen is practical thanks to its electric oven with ceramic hotplates, fridge and dish-washer, large slate worktop to allow you to cook some newly discover French cuisine. An espresso Senseo coffee machine, a filter electric coffee maker, a toaster, an electric kettle, a Brita table water jug with filter, a complete kitchenware set is provided. Also provided are glasses for beer, for soft drinks, some mugs, some coffee cups, a set of assorted tea from ‘Graine d’intérieur’, everything you will need for breakfast or a break at ‘tea-time’.

All the rooms of the apartment have electric heaters. The kitchen is equipped with a smoke alarm, the double-glazing will ensure warmth and quietness when you wish it. The household linen (hand towels, set of bed linen, tea towels) is provided, a hair dryer, a steam iron and ironing board are also provided. The instructions for the apartment are already there and include what to visit nearby including restaurants, metro lines and maps. Some guide books are available too.

Outside the apartment is a very well-served district with public transport like subway, buses, rentable bikes and electric cars which are very popular in Paris. All are a step away from the apartment and will allow you to tour around Paris. Supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants, all just 2-3 minutes walk away.

Price: $225 a night, 5 nights minimum. 25% deposit required on booking and a $300 refundable security bond will be required prior to stays. An apartment owner in the building welcomes and looks after guests. No pets or smoking allowed and maximum of one couple plus a small child (small bed available).
