Baked camembert

While maybe not that common in France, the recipe does use the famous French cheese from Normandy.

  • 250 g Camembert
  • 1 clove peeled garlic finely sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • a few tips fresh rosemary
  • olive oil

  • Preheat the oven to 180 deg C
  • Leave camembert in its wooden box or put in a small baking pot.
  • Score the top of the camembert by cutting off the top skin about ½cm in or criss cross the top.
  • Season top with salt and pepper; poke garlic slices into the top with a few rosemary tips.
  • Drizzle with a little olive oil then bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until melted in the middle.
  • Serve with crusty/toasted bread/baguette.
