Jacqueline's new French harvest for auction

Harvest time in France is so beautiful - vines are heavily laden with grapes and golden leaves emerge. Jacqueline captures the season perfectly in her latest work for auction (starting price only $50), for more detail or to bid (by 29/10), click here. Our online shop also sells more of Jacqueline's works.

Another of our member's places you can rent

Lying in a quiet street of the charming village of Cenac et St Julien, Lisa and Graeme's 17th century stone village house is well positioned for exploring the Dordogne valley. Their house has recently been renovated to a high standard but still retains many original features like the old stone walls and steps. It can sleep up to six people with 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. The first of two bedrooms has a stunning view of the village and surrounding valley and the second bedroom has a separate entrance. In the evening, you can enjoy a wine on the terrace overlooking the village and beyond while hot air balloons fly over. Their village is at the bottom of the hill from Domme which is a well known medieval, walled village with panoramic views across the valley and a rating of three bastide stars. There is plenty to do in and around the nearby area - you can find local markets on most days. The house rents for $1,100 AUD a week. Update on Todd's and our Paris place progress

Poor Todd stills waits for things to come together so he can have the house for his trip in only a few weeks now...his bank is yet to send the required documents to his notaire and he is only just sending back the power of attorney documents he finally got. This is how it goes sometimes but he is still hopeful of settling early November and we wish you well...!

Meanwhile we have had better luck securing our Paris apartment for members to rent - more detail will come out very soon but it is in a historic 1650's building in the 1st near the Louvre, Moliere fountain and Palais Royal. The apartment will be available from March, so if you are heading to Paris for a 2010 summer, we have the place for for email
