Two stone properties +/- a vineyard for sale in Saint Angeau

An Australian is selling her place which consists of two attached but separate old stone houses - a small vineyard adjoining the properties with an old barn containing WWII history is also available to the buyer.

These are in the village of Saint Angeau which is a very pleasant rural Charente village. Sitting on the left bank of the Bonnieure River, Saint Angeau offers good amenities: small supermarket, pharmacy, petrol station, two doctors, butcher, epicerie, boulangerie, hairdresser and tabac. St Angeau sits in between the towns of Mansle, with twice weekly markets and restaurants, and La Rochefoucauld. Just on the edge of the village is a cave which has traces of habitation by pre-historic man. Within the bounds of the village itself there is the 12 C St Michaela's Church which is a listed historic monument with a notable 16th C façade and a Romanesque bell tower.   The peaceful countryside around the village is perfect for walkers and cyclists. Don't miss the brandy town of Cognac or principal city of Angoulême with its historic quarter, wonderful cathedral, excellent shopping and dining.

The pair of semi-detached old stone houses covers three levels.
