Part ownership of a house in the Languedoc

Puissalicon one of many ancient circulade villages in the south of France. A group of six Australian couples with the same dream of owning a home in France got together six years ago to make it happen. With all the skills and good will available to them a house was eventually chosen that met the essential needs of the group. Everyone in the group wanted a house that required minimal maintenance, three bedrooms, proximity to shops, public transport (airport at Montpellier about forty minute drive) train or bus to larger village of Beziers and easy access to places of interest, of which there are many.

The current part-owners selling have enjoyed every season in this beautiful village. They have taken the two to three hour drive to Barcelona, popped over to the east of France and into Italy, taken the TGV to Paris, cycled along the Canal Du Midi, swum in the Orb River to name a few highlights. They have decided to move on now and offer their share of the house for sale. The group (ages 45-68)  is warm, capable and very helpful when it comes to discovering the delights of the area. They are blessed with excellent relationships between all parties and all enjoy each other’s company.

The house

The kitchen dining area is adequately refurbished to contain all conveniences needed. This area was used to keep the farm animals during the winter, hundreds of years ago. The lounge area is very comfortable with TV and internet. The entrance leads into a large area for storage to hang coats etc

The house has two bathrooms upstairs, one of which is ensuite. There is an extra toilet under the stair well on the ground floor. Most rooms have double glazed windows. The courtyard has breathtaking ancient walls and horse trough, reminding all of a bygone era.

The owners have made friends with many of the people in the village and found it easy to connect with the locals. Puissalicon is a place where you can just jump in the car and drive in any direction on very well kept roads to a host of interesting places. Some of the owners favourite memories are of the Canal du Midi, the fresh produce market in Beziers and the nearby aquaduct.

There is enough space to park at the front of the house. Alternatively there is plenty of parking just a few doors down. The house is on a corner and very close to the village centre. There is a post office, tabac and marie. There is a small school and bar although the best place for a drink nearby is the adjacent village of Magalas.

Share price: $75,000.

Details of how the time is divided can be easily explained. At this time, the purchaser of the property share has the period February, March and April 2014. The following year will be May-June, and your time moves sequentially through the seasons.
