About French Desire
After completing many successful property developments here, in 2006 we bought a house in a village in the west of France which gives us a permanent link to the country we adore, even though we are 20,000 kms away in Brisbane, Australia. As the benefits of buying a place in France extend beyond owning a dream, we subsequently purchased another two properties (one in the same area and the other in the southeast in Provence). We set up this website (now with over 750 pages to view) to share our experiences of France, including buying French property, with others who also desire things French. Around 7,500 people are members of our French desire website based community (to become a member and receive a monthly newsletter, register here) and we have had over half a million clicks on our website pages. so it is not just us that finds France desirable - read about some ideas on why this might be so. All of the places to see, stay and eat and things to do on our site we have had personal experience with and/or would recommend to others. Our site also has other French information including book reviews, facts, travel tips. We are regularly emailed with positive feedback. Read some of the comments we have received on French desire generally and also our newsletter. In between monthly newsletters, we post regular French related updates on our facebook page (you can like/follow us as almost 1,000 people do). We have a free fact sheet for our members on purchasing French property as well as guides, our consulting service and workshops/tours to France to assist. Our website has French properties for sale to help those interested in buying their own place. We now also have many of the properties our members have purchased in France available for rent in addition to our own.
