Movies Unless you can understand french well, if you are going to see an english language movie make sure it is version originale (VO) meaning the film retains its original language and is not dubbed for which you will often see version francaise (VF). Even though the film may be version originale the title of the film may be completely different to what you know it in English or even the correct translation. Of course, french films in France won't have english subtitles. There are cinemas all over Paris and France including a number on the Champs Elysees. If you are in the southeast of France in May you might be just in time for the famous film festival in Cannes in the French Riviera where many film stars from around the world can be found and many important films for the year are shown before they are released elsewhere. |
