Moulin RougeThe legindary 'red windmill' caberet is located in the raunchy Pigalle nightclub area of Montmartre. It is famous for being the hangout for Toulouse-Lautrec who painted many posters of its nightlife as well as its topless and brightly coloured cancan dancers from all over the world. In more recent times, the Moulin Rouge was also the name of the 2001 Baz Laurman film starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. You can go for dinner (at 7pm) and the show or just the show (9pm and 11pm). The current show Féerie consists of 100 performers, 1000 costumes and a giant aquarium with a large snake. Prices are just under 100 euro for the show and between 140 and 170 euro for the show and dinner (depending on the set menu chosen). This might seem a little expensive but the experience is worth the cost. For more information and to book visit www.moulinrouge.fr |
