Spend some time in this spacious house and enjoy French village life. Not far away you will find the beautiful historic city of Lyon with its many cafes, restaurants and shops. Bessenay is in the rural area of the Lyon hills on the edge of the Beaujolais wine area. It is in an ideal position for touring. Burgundy in the north, the Alps in the east, Provence in the south and the Auvergne in the west.

The village has two cafes, two bakeries, a medical centre staffed by doctors and nurses, a
pharmacy, a delicatessen -butcher and numerous other shops. There is a market in the
square every Thursday morning. Nearby in the hills there are some farm restaurants
specialising in local produce. There are many local walks signposted through tracks and farms.

The house is a typical French village house about 150 years old. It is very comfortable making great use of stone and timber, the materials used in this era. The house has three substantial levels with two or three queen bedrooms as required, a sitting/dining room with a huge open fireplace, a second sitting room, kitchen with table/chairs, electric heating, wireless Internet and linen supplied.

Price $1200 per week with $250 deposit and 55 euro cleaning fee (left in house on departure). Security deposit $350.
