BeaucaireBeaucaire (meaning beautiful stone fortress) sits on the Rhone River and Canal du Midi. It was the site of mediaeval fairs and each year Camargue bulls (statues of which are located on the streets) are run through the streets. The lovely waterside town also has the reminants of a castle and abbey. For more information visit: www.ot-beaucaire.fr Return to places to see south. |
