Parc Monceau This park in the quiet and well to do 8th arrondissement is one of the prettiest in Paris. It contains manicured gardens, meandering clay paths, water features and lots of sculptures enjoyed regularly by both affluent parents/nannies with young children and joggers. Bordering and overlooking the park are expensive and beautiful mansions/grand apartment buildings from the 1800's. One of the features of the park is the wrought iron fence with its gold encrusted gates at the entrance to the park from Avenues Hoche and van Dyck. Return to places to see Paris. |
