Giverny Giverney is a medieval tower with remnants of a medieval bridge over a lovely lake. It is better known for being the place where the famous impressionist painter Claude Monet lived. His house is open to the public from April to October every year as are the gardens which contain the famous lily pond which was the subject for his trademark waterlily series of paintings (Decorations des Nympheas).
