Quebec The Quebec province is located on the eastern coast of Canada. Known as New France, it was pronounced a Royal Province by King Louis XIV in the 17th century. Even today its official language is still French. The capital of Quebec province is Quebec City, with its iconic Chateau Frontenac, while Montreal is its largest city. Both cities have historic old towns similar to many centre villes in cities in France. The countryside of Quebec is beautiful and vast with many summer and winter ski resorts such as Mont Tremblant.
