Financier cakes

  

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground almonds
  • 1 2/3 cups icing sugar
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • salt
  • 6 egg whites
  • 3/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  • Combine the almonds, sugar, flour and salt.
  • Add the egg whites and mix, then add the butter.
  • Spoon the batter into buttered financier moulds.
  • Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool in moulds for 5 minutes.
