Loire castle As well as being close to all the other castle attractions worth visiting in the Loire Valley, this chateaux actually lets you stay in any one of its 32 rooms. It is set in its own lovely estate which includes a pool and large Rennaissance courtyard within the castle walls and is surrounded by woodland. The chateaux has a lot of history and many French royalty are documented to have stayed here over the years including Charles VII and Louis XI. Each of the elegant rooms is personalized and offers something special from the two level turret with a glass floor in between to the cottages by the pool. All rooms have a view over the estate, swimming pool or courtyard. It has a large formal dining room restuarant set in gothic style serving exquisite a la carte meals. Rates are relatively cheap for the castle stay experience and range from 80-270 euro per night with half and full board options on top for between 48 and 82 euro respectively.
