Furnishing our house in France while making new friends in our French village

Our first visit to our dream house in a village in the south west of France was all we hoped it could be and more... We had fun furnishing the house with French style knickknacks and furniture. How wonderful it was to be able to just pop around the corner to the local shops/boulangerie and sit on our front terrace overlooking the local church. The village has lots of great features like good restaurants/bars, many historic features including castle ruins and activities like the indoor aquatic centre with a waterslide for the kids (and big kids like David) and theatre (where we saw an illusionist). But the best thing was the friendliness of the village people – we were invited to a family farm for lunch and David now has many new French bar buddies.
