Montmartre Wine Harvest
The Montmartre Harvest Festival is an original and time-honoured tradition. This village fete, which celebrates the arrival of the local Clos Montmartre wine, is a traditional event that takes place in one of the most charming neighbourhoods of Paris early to mid October. Expect to find stalls with regional produce, street musicians and singers, a parade dedicated to Bacchus, the god of wine, and even witness the election of the Harvest Queen. There is usually fireworks on the Saturday night of the festival which focuses around the Montmartre Clos, the last remaining vineyard in Paris located behind the Sacre Coeur.
