Jacqueline Sherwood, painter/artist/photographer
Jacqueline was born in New Zealand and has spent most of her adult life in Sydney and London. Her works have been sold privately and through galleries in Australia, Europe and New Zealand.
She has developed her love of painting over the 12 years or so she spent studying at the Willoughby Art Centre, Sydney. She now dedicates more time to painting whilst living in Europe and travelling back to Australia for a short time each year.
Jacqueline enjoys painting in a wide range of mediums – from her earlier paintings in watercolour, ink and pastel, to her more recent work in acrylic, concentrating on colour and texture and often incorporating ink, charcoal and collage. She is also a dedicated photographer, and is keen to experiment with the use of her many photographs in her paintings.
Having fallen in love with the France landscape, the people and the ambience of the French villages, she continues to capture the atmosphere of the landscape, villages and houses in her works.
