About Us
This is us in Annecy near the French Alps during one of our trips to France (without our two small children that time). Our love affair with all things French started 15 years ago when we visited France as part of a whirlwind six week round the world tour. Since then, we have been back to France over a dozen times with our trips ranging in duration from one week to two months. After completing many successful property developments here, in 2006 we bought a house in a village in the south west of France which gives us a permanent link to the country we adore, even though we are 20,000 kms away in Brisbane, Australia. As the benefits of buying a place in France extend beyond owning a dream, we subsequently purchased another two properties. We set up this website (now with over 500 pages to view) to share our experiences of France, including buying French property, with others who also desire things French. Over 7,500 people have joined our French desire community (to become a member and receive a monthly newsletter, register here) and we have had over half a million clicks on our website pages. All of the places to see, stay and eat and things to do on our site we have had personal experience with and/or would recommend to others. We have a free fact sheet for our members on purchasing French property and now have many of the properties our members have purchased in France available for rent as well as our own places including an apartment in Paris.
